Yea, electrical problem seemed unlikely. Can't imagine an electrical
problem that could cause a crash. Especially odd since the reporter is a commercial pilot himself. |

![]() "three-eight-hotel" wrote in message ups.com... Check out this link: http://www.kcra.com/news/5844154/detail.html The video shows the tracks left in the mud by the mains and front tire... As quoted by the news-copter, it appears to have been a text book soft-field approach. You can see when he pans out that the mains are the only tracks in the mud for several hundred feet, then the front touches down, causing the plane to over-turn Nobody was seriously hurt, thank God! Best Regards, Todd A couple weeks ago that field would not have been soft ;-) Forced to make a landing because of an electrical problem (according to the news chopper guy?) |

Why did they call it a crash? Nobody was hurt, right? Plane looks pretty
intact, just upside down. Why don't they just call it a forced landing. |

I was able to play it right on the web.. just below the picture to the right
of the article that shows the aircraft on it's back are the "stop/play" buttons.. clicked on it and it played on the web page ok without opening windows media player BT "Jose" wrote in message ... http://www.kcra.com/news/5844154/detail.html The video shows... What video? There is no valid link where it says "video" on the page as it appears now. Got a direct link to the video? it played on the web page ok without opening
windows media player It (most likely) opened windows media player as a helper app. I apparantly don't have a sufficiently powerful machine to satisfy the web designer, despite the fact that I can play other movies just fine. Why don't they just call it a forced landing. the journalist in the video was actually doing a pretty good job IMHO at describing the incident just like that, i.e., nice forced landing, good soft field technique, not quite perfect because of mud... --Sylvain |
