Nav 401L Test Set problem

Sorry if this is the wrong group (probably!)
Please advise a more suitable group

I've got this test set, on the back is a mains socket, all the manuals I've
seen in the uk, show a uk socket. This one has six pins, (its the 110volt
version). It's not clear to me which pins are for which.

It's these ones here, 6 is earthed, I think postive + is 5 and 1 (-)
is negative?

My guess is that someone replaced the standard socket with a different
one for a special purpose; such as using a large external battery for
extended field use. I know of one 401L modified that way.

Thanks for the information: I'm not so sure, the hole in the case and the
socket inside are perfectly made (no sign of anything having been altered)
