You can certainly find a Champ' that will qualify for LSA, and you can certainly find them with electrical systems, but I don't think you can find one that satisfies both requirements. |

If they're true 7ACs they're powered by a Continental A65 which has no provision for driving a generator. An electrical system without an engine-driven generator isn't much of an electrical system. |

Of course you know the 85 handles an electrical system just fine and using the new light weight starters and alternators the weight gain is reasonable. OBTW electrical systems without generators are quite effective and practical. I guess you are not aware American Champion has brought back the Champ with brand spankin new O-200s, full electrical system, panel mount GPS and a bunch of other rather sophisticated upgrades and it is LSA legal. Gotta get away from those 172s every once in a while Steve ole boy and get out into the real world. You will be surprised at what's out there. |
