EADS has until October 14 to pay BAE 2.75 billion euros to acquire their
share. EADS will then own 100% of Airbus.

The newly announced A350 XWB, said to be ready for delivery in 2010 will
now not be delivered until 2012.

Does an announcement six years in advance of delivery really amount to
an announcement at all?

For airline management and their accountants, it's an announcement with
importance.

As far as I heard, the development of the A350 might even be halted until
the issues with the A380 are sorted out. According to EADS, they seem to be
the result of longtime mismanagement, and EADS wants to see them fixed
before they launch another new aircraft.
