I feel like I have lost a friend I never met. As others have written, your

I'm not sure why I am saying all of this but it does make me feel less
of a loss knowing that least some of the living are aware of some of
his acomplishments

Well, #2 son, you're Dad was a well liked guy around here
and we're all going to miss him. He was one of the good
guys, that's for sure.
