i once took a 4 hour glider ride up near franconia notch in the white
mountains. even now 30 years later it is still WOW WHAT A RIDE
it was worth every penny. the silence and the peacefullness of it mixed in
with the rush of swooping and climbing was unlike anything else.
and as the pilot said there was nothing to fear as it wouldn't run out of
gas or suffer an engine failure.
