Whatever happened to "Ivan the Bear"?

I used to enjoy reading his Russian aviation articles, and always looked for
his postings but I have not seen them for many months. Everytime I log onto
this group, I sort the messages by "From" to look for his postings.
Anyone know where he went or maybe he's changed his "From" name and I've
never noticed.

Yevgenny (Ivan) is doing a tour as an interpreter with the UN in Ethiopia.

He was due back in Moscow on the 23rd of August - but I didn't make contact with
him (I was there for MAKS 03).

I'm just back - so I am now attempting to email him.

If he is back and on-line - no doubt he'll reply himself ?
