Some good news
This from AOPA:
************************************************** ******************** AVGAS SALES PITCH UP SLIGHTLY Despite fuel price fears at local FBOs, pilots are continuing to fly. Year-to-date sales (as of March) are up 1 percent when compared to the same period last year, according to figures released by the U.S. Department of Energy. During the first three months of 2007, 47.2 million gallons of avgas were sold. Going on a trip? Check fuel local prices via AOPA's Airport Directory Online. After you type in an airport identifier, click on the "FBO/Facility/Fuel Information" link and scroll down to find the FBO. The information is being provided daily by 100LL.com. ************************************************** ******************** Looks good on the surface, but it sure doesn't match up with my observations of how GA is doing. I wonder how much of this 1% increase is due to pilots being forced to burn the blue stuff, now that their mogas is polluted with ethanol? -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |
