Transponder "G-switch" spec?
Just curious: Does anyone now the longitudinal
acceleration spec for ELT activation? TSO-C91a refers to RTCA DO-183, and that's priced outta my range for a simple question like this. Dave 'squash' Hyde

Dave 'squash' Hyde Hey Dave, maybe it's time for a few Zzzz's.  The threshold spec for ELT inertia switch is 6g from a velocity of 3 ft/s or greater. Held in your hand with the forward direction facing away from you, a swift "whip cracking" motion in the air should activate it. Congrats on your engine. David O -- http://www.AirplaneZone.com
