In the last few days I've read a few references in the media about the
A380 that referred to it as the "gentle green giant". Last I knew the 380's engines spewed the same nasty pollutants as any other jet in service. Must be the spinmeisters in the Airbus PR office working overtime again. |

You could spin it as fewer tons of CO2 per passenger mile, I suppose.
That's the same advantage busses have over cars. .. I thought about that, but with SIA's A380 flying with *only* 471 seats, not many more than the 747-400, that argument kinda falls down. Now, if they ever configure one of them with the 800 pax single-class config. (cattle car) that'd make sense. : ) |
