There's a language problem here that might be addressed on the show
"Are you smarter than a fifth grader." If it's a sea plane that touches down, shouldn't it be called a watering? And if it's a crash onto a water surface, is it a landing, or does one have to wait until the airplane is on the bottom to say it's landed? It's time for my meds: in this case it will be a Bombay Sapphire Gin Martini, up. It's the only fitting end to a Monday. A good Citation crash would be one where everyone walked away, even if the aircraft was totaled. Like the one at Bader Field in Atlantic City. But... If you can walk away, it was a 'good landing'. If you can fly the plane again, it's a 'great landing', so I guess that wouldn't qualify as a crash g But where does riding a boat to shore or swimming away fit into the landing quality evaluation? Fire prevention. Saves the cost and clean-up of foaming the runway.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - |
