If this satire is an example of the union's attitude toward air safety, it is shameful, and it works against garnering public support. I've been a member of a labor union for fifty years, and I respect what can be accomplished by a union dedicated to providing highly skilled and well trained workers, and the brotherhood a union fosters among its members. If this video-spoof truly reflects the controllers' union attitude, it has killed any support I may have once felt it deserved. The successful labor union works cooperatively with employers; an openly hostile and adversarial relationship will not provide the membership what it seeks. In fact, it makes reaching an acceptable agreement improbable. Union demands must be reasonable, and provide win-win solutions to the issues they face. Thank you for the insight into the insincerity, and sleazy impertinence of what should be a dedicated and dignified body. |

With all due respect it takes "two to tango" or "win-win" I guess sir you have absolutely no clue of the horrible and draconian work rules imposed by the FAA on it's core air safety work force do you? Before you blame the union, why don't you investigate the reasons "A single union member" produced this satirical and abrasive video? NATCA or PASS did not produce the video. It was produced by a controller with significant experience and knowledge of the Failed Aviation Administrations draconian work rules and mistreatment of their most critical employees When professional employees are so disgruntled and motivated they attack their employer the most casual observer should see there are major problems within the operation of that employer(FAA). Think about it |
