As far as I knew, the Storch was powered by an Argus inverted V8 engine, not
a radial.

As far as I knew, the Storch was powered by an Argus inverted V8 engine, not
a radial.


Mea culpa. It is a French-built Morane Saulnier MS.505 Criquet, with (I
think) a Jacobs radial. There were other versions with Renault and
Salmson engines too, and even a Lycoming O-540.

The Flying Heritage Museum at Paine Field, Everett WA, has a real
Storch in flying condition. It is truly a treat to watch!
