Hi Gang
After 10 years of good soaring in my Stemme S10-VT I have finally decided to sell her. What were the highlights? Well I think the longest and most difficult flight was a return soar from Parowan to Minden with a 25 knot headwind in near blue sky conditions - I got as low as 2,000 feet agi just north of Mina. About 780k with 6 and a half hours of work. Then again I used to give tours of the Bay area starting off from San Jose, soaring Mission ridge, across the San Francisco Bay to the coast and then soaring the cliffs of Fort Funston just south of San Francisco with the hangliders, over the Golden Gate and east to Mt Diablo. Then with luck it if I could get to about 5,000 feet msl it was a glide back to San Jose landing as a glider. My passengers really loved the Bay Tour. But age is now creeping up on me and I just have to accept that. For more details on N237DB go to Paul Remde's site below. Dave http://sites.google.com/site/soaring...s-motorgliders |
