Correct. Both The QSTARZ and FlyWithCe units are 'position recorders',
OK for Silver/Gold badges. You do need a barograph as well - a cheap second user EWA will do, or even a clockwork Winter if you can find a candle to smoke one (and an OO to seal it).............. Currently £79.95 for the BT-Q1000X. But don't forget that if you use one of these then you need to carry a
barograph as well. Nick H- Skrij navedeno besedilo - - Prikaži citirano besedilo - This will most likely change quite soon. During last IGC meeting the proposal was that users of those flight recorders will not need separate barograph and that GPS altitude will be accepted. We can expect some additional restrictions (because GPS altitude is not as accurate). With this only world and national records and diamond flights will be off limits for those devoices. And of course gliders with motor – devices do not have engine sensor. I believe that they are already good value, because for low price you get device that is very simple to use and at least for flyWithCE Flight recorder you get also flyWithCE Logbook software. If you are not too demanding, then this software will be enough for you to also check flights in Google Maps or Google Earth (also in 3D). For more information check: http://www.flywithce.com/recorder.html. Best regards Uros www.flywithce.com |
