Anyone know of problems with Rotax's new fuel-injected iS engine? I

They had the test engines out, and they were coming back in for teardown and inspection. They are basically an improved version of the earlier 912S, with a proven (in other applications) injection system. The retail engines should be on the market end of June, early July timeframe if everything goes according to the timeline they were expecting. Mighty fine piece of engineering. |

The old saying was "if you have to ask, you can't afford it". So I know I can't. But how much will they go for? The pricing wasn't firm, but they were talking 18% premium over the standard 912S - give or take. |

Good news then. I am excited to see a a new aircraft engine with
electronic fuel injection. We may finally catch where the auto world was 20 yrs ago. |
