Default peschges vp4 issue

Hello,

I bought LS4 glider equipped with old peschges vp4 vario... Everything

works fine, except one thing... when I switch from climb mode to

speedcommander, It works weird... With correct setings of polar, MC and

loading, it shows me to fly too fast. For example, when I set MC0 and

fly 160km/h, it wants to fly more more faster... Does anybody have any

idea where could be problem? I know, vp4 is old scrap.... but Im

curious

Thanks

Have you calibrated the TE compensation as described in the manual?

Of course your actual glider performance could be screwed up and the vario has you chasing real glider sink in excess of the polar... you should be able to futz with the "polar penalty factor" to stop that.
