Hi guys,
I'm looking for a sliding dump handle idea, it needs to travel 2 inches, maybe a notched plate with a handle....any ideas or drawings? GL |

Many dump systems I've seen use a simple swinging lever that has the cable attached slightly off-center. The full travel is 2x the radius of the lever arm, so you only need a one inch arm to get your two inches of travel. The over-center leverages the tension in the system to keep the valve in the desired position (e.g valve closing). There's often a spring that allows for some slop in the system as well. I'll draw one up and email it to you... |

GL In my 20C the stock valve acuators were small over center levers. I just made a hook to go over one of them to operate the tail valve cable. Unhooked to separate fuctions if needed. UH |

In the LAK-17a they use a push-pull handle which slides in an "L" shaped
slot in a metal plate. The tail tank (wings use the same setup with a separate lever) is held closed by placing the lever in the short slot, opened by pulling into the long slot and then aft. wrote in message ...
