I built a spreadsheet to do the W&B on my -27, but also use an app that is a lot more capable: http://www.glideplan.com/seeg_stuff/info_seeg.html Generally people measure the moment arms themselves rather than assuming that every example of a particular make/model is identical, though theoretically I guess they should be pretty close. The weights are another matter - you can't assume any two are the same, therefore you have to start with an initial measuring of the main and tail moment arms and weights. If you are looking at the effect of adding and subtracting equipment maybe someone else's moment arm measurements will be good, maybe not. Best to double check. 9B |
