Default Battery for Becker radio

I have a older model Becker radio with 5 presets. The presets do not hold the memory between use and my guess is the backup internal battery is dead.

Does anyone know where i can get the battery and how difficult is it to install on this radio. Yes I have called Becker and they would like me to send it in. I was hoping for a local (I fly in VT) easier to do solution if possible.

Hi Dennis,
You can try looking at the manual for your radio at
http://www.beckerusa.com/downloadabl...6-63fc45dd5b8f
Or it is probably easy to open the radio and look for a battery. It is most likely a disc-shaped flat battery. Pop it out and look at the number. Should be an easy fix.

The replacement is very easy, the hard part is getting the battery replacement. I couldn't find any source of it outside becker, the depth of the battery is critical and I couldn't find it anywhere. Finally I got it from Becker but only after a couple of months of back and forth. Others have drilled a whole through the case and mounted a larger battery on the outside. I will probably do that when this battery dies in a few years. Much easier and easily replaceable. Good luck.

Morteza Ansari, Do you recall the battery voltage? If Dennis knew that it would be easy
to retrofit a battery that would work.
Thanks.

I got one from Paul Remde a few years back.
