I'm wanting to learn LK8000 before the season starts and I though a good way to do it would be in Condor.
For anyone using the Vertica V2 (aka Avier PNA) running Windows mobile you can easily connect it to Condor with out any special cable or Bluetooth connection. Frank Paynter wrote an instructional article for Soaring Cafe demonstrating the Bluetooth method (which is a pain in the rear). Using Gps gate and Active sync on the PC, Condor soaring simulator will send the NMEA data to GPS Gate on the PNA. LK8000 (or any other program from what I gather) sees the data as a useable GPS information. Very easy to follow tutorial he http://xcsoar.wikia.com/wiki/Faq:Simulator Hope this link can help someone before countless hours are wasted trying to make bluetooth work or burning yourself with a soldering iron.
