A blurb about the Black Bird

For those interested, this link takes you to one of those
"BuzzFeed" type sites. My interest was two-fold. I didn't
know that it had been fired upon (unsuccessfully of course)
by more than 4000 missles! My other interest was some
heretofore unseen pics (unseen by me, that is)

You have to excuse the writing and some of the facts are a
bit skewed.

Wow, I'd heard it was over 2,000.

The Taiwanese could've used the Blackbird, having lost two RB-57s and five
U-2s over mainland China...

It was called the Blackbird because it was stealthy ? I thought it was
called the Blackbird because it was an aeroplane painted black.
Blackbirds aren't stealthy - I can see them quite clearly in my back
garden - so where's the 'stealth' corollary ?
