Hi All - I' searching for some stats to put things in context for the SSA presentation. Much obliged if anyone can provide sources for:
Annual stats from 1950s forward, USA and world totals: - IFR flight-plans served - active aircraft - aircraft produced including GA (and LSA or as Europeans call them ultralights) - TCAS-equipped aircraft Thanks in advance for any help, Best Regards, Dave |

FAA (if you can dig through the info) will also have a lot of that for the US. |

AOPA did not (yes, I'm a member, and called and talked to a "stats guy"). FAA and DOT sites have lots of info but I could not locate the info I asked for above... Thanks in advance for any sources! You go pretty far back in their archive to get numbers from the 70's, though maybe not too much further than that: http://gama.aero/files/GAMA_2014_Dat...-%20LowRes.pdf It includes information on IFR operations. Also, the GA and Part 135 survey provides quite a bit of information that may be useful to you: https://www.faa.gov/data_research/av...eral_aviation/ Just understand that it is survey data, so it is 'approximate'. Don't know what your presentation is about, but I put together a presentation about the characteristics of GA for work. If you need that type of data, send me an email. |
