Parachute Lumbar Bladder

Does anybody know a source for the inflatable lumbar bladder (with hose & pump bulb) that goes in some parachute packs - like the old Security 150s?

I use an adapted old anaeroid blood pressure cuff but you can buy the same thing marketed as inflatable lumbar supports e.g.

Contact butler parachutes. They also have a temper foam pas for just below chute that makes the entire rig comfortable for hours in the cockpit.

I used an inflatable rubberized fabric camping pillow for a while. Just bought a rubber inflating bulb from a medical supply house and connected it with some plastic tubing. Worked great. The bulbs are available as replacement parts because they eventually crack and fail, probably faster in a cockpit environment than in an office.

Two other reasons I stopped using it. First, the firmness varies with altitude, so you can find yourself adjusting it.

Second, I started to worry about how it would behave in a crash. Would it fail catastrophically just when I needed lumbar support the most?

I went to the memory foam approach. Not as easy to adjust. But when it's stuffed behind your back, it doesn't harden up in the cold.

Yes, related to, "the Karl", yes I use TemperFoam when deadline with a broken back from the early 80's, broke a 2nd time just over a year ago.
Yes, the foam is rock hard when cold, body warmth makes it fit better. Beats the old "rolled up towel" I used to use.

The ones Security used were sourced from a medical supply house. They are used to make wheel chairs more comfortable. You might check with a local supplier of such gear.

After chasing leaks in the bladder for years, I discovered that the canopy cover, rolled up in its bag, was just right placed in the bottom of the seat back before I climb in. And it leaves the baggage shelf free....

To which bladder and what kinds of leakage are you referring? (Age related question.) Unsure about the reference to the baggage shelf, except it might provide additional room for Handi-Wipes and absorbent pads.
