Sandhill Soaring Club is excited to announce that it recently procured a race-ready, 20 meter two-seat DG505 ELAN Orion and Cobra trailer. The ship will be utilized for cross-country training, upset training and basic aerobatics, and for advanced training as the "next step" new-member pilots take after obtaining their Private Pilot Glider Certificate. Likewise, the DG-505 may be reserved by members for cross-country flights (2-hr minimum).
Prospective members in Michigan, northern Ohio and Indiana are encouraged to apply. Sandhill has regular, student, and family memberships to fit the needs of all. For existing glider pilots who desire access to the club's DG-505 (or Open Cirrus), but have limited time to meet regular club member obligations or who live more than an hour away from Richmond Airfield (69G), the club will consider authorizing a limited number of Associate Memberships for experienced pilots. Market rates t.b.d. as our club operates on a volunteer basis. Sandhill Soaring Club is located at Richmond Airfield ~30 minutes from Ann Arbor and within driving distance of Greater Metro Detroit. For more information, prospective members are encouraged to visit our website and contact me directly [REPLY BACK DIRECTLY].
