Another choice is to take the tape over to a local community college, and
see if they can convert it for you. Most of the better ones have the equipment, and are glad to do it for a 12 pack of soda pop (or something) Man, I've got a couple of dozen hours of video, taken since 1990, all analog. Everything from the birth of my two kids, to flights over the Grand Canyon. I'd love to convert them to digital, and put 'em on DVD.
