In 1963/1964, the U.S. Navy had a stockpile of over 700 Mk-44 Lazy Dog
bombs stored at Subic Bay (Philippine) Naval Base. The USAF got the Lazy Dog bombs for use in the Vietnam War after they were released by the Navy. Which U.S. Navy aircraft could have dropped the Lazy Dogs? Lazy Dogs have been replaced by the CBU-2, BLU-3, and FAX (fuel/air explosive bomb). Thanks Mike |
