A friend of mine, flying a HS 847 meet a goose at 6000 feet in a cloud, the
goose wasn't cleared for ifr or had filed any flight plan, and was never heard of again, it hit the windshield post just where it meets the roof. Walking in the woods this morning under a low and snowing overcast, I heard a large and loud formation of geese flying directly overhead but they were not visible. I had no idea that geese were IFR rated. Dave Tate
