Hey all. I posted a week or so ago about an AI that had gone TU.
I'm figuring to do a complete vacuum system overhaul on my Cherokee and was looking for suggestions on places to have gyros redone. I've talked with Kelly instruments, and they seem to be relatively inexpensive and have high turn-around (currently a few day's wait). Any thoughts on overhauled/exchanged vs. an overhaul of the current unit? The ones in there now are an EDO-AIRE (Piper) 5000B-9 AI and an Aviation Instrument (for Mitchell) 200-5 DG. Anyone recommend specific shops for this? Warranties? Failure rates? Thanks, -Cory -- ************************************************** *********************** * The prime directive of Linux: * * - learn what you don't know, * * - teach what you do. * * (Just my 20 USm$) * ************************************************** *********************** |
