Unfortunately, the new airport owner said he "didn't want a tent city out there" and canned the idea. In the meantime, the ultralight people started setting up all sorts of homemade covers 100 yards away from me. A few years later, when I was getting ready to move the plane to Old Bridge, he came around and said he'd changed his mind. I could set up my hangar. By that time, the paint had been gone from the flaps for years, and the rest of the plane wasn't looking too good either. I just thanked him and hurried up the move.
