I only tried doing video once, but it was a whopping success and I can't wait
to try it again when I get time.

I took a color cigar-cam (wide angle lens, sturdy, small, video only) and
secured it to the tail tiedown hook of the C182 with a couple of cable ties.
Ran the video cable up to the cabin, taped securely along the fuselage with pro
gaffer's tape. Went into a VHS battery powered deck, with the audio fed from
the intercom headphone jack.

Results were fantastic. Panoramic view of the countryside and unequivocal proof
of my gentle landing techique. I did an even better job of touchdown than I had
realized from up front!
