Default VersaBrite II lights?

Hi I'm not a pilot but I'm thinking about purchasing some of these
light for my brother that is a pilot. My question is what do you think
of this light as a pilot stand point for IFR flying? Do you think this
light would be light enough for clipping onto a hat visor or something
else he flies a C172. My brother rents or flies a company plan and
most times uses there headset. What is the best light for this
purpose. Any other recommendations? Thanks
