There are Wifi / GPS logging programs that will capture and then plot location of Wifi access points. This info is then posted to various websites which detail locations of Wifi networks. Hackers can then go to the Wifi network (park their car outside) and either get free internet access, OR try to hack into computers on the network. If you have Wifi at your home or small office, turn encryption on, and change encryption keys frequently. It is not foolproof, but it does make it more difficult to gain unauthorized network access. -Nathan |
