I have a question regarding the headset connection between a Icom IC-A5/A23 handheld transceiver to a David Clark H10-13X headset. Are there any known problems or compatibility issues? While doing a product review, Avionics West Inc. has made some tests about the compatibility with different headset models. See http://www.avionicswest.com/articles/a23.htm. Can anyone confirm their experience? If it won't work properly in combination with my 10-13X the unit does not make any sense as a backup device during flight. BTW, why is the newer handy A-5 model much cheaper than the "old" and clumsier A-3? Anybody has an idea? Thanks for your help! Nobody uses an Icom A-5??? Please help! -- Thomas Schmidt |
