A couple weeks back, I posted a message on this forum regarding Bill
Larkins photography and a section on our message board that has been dedicated for his use. Over the past few days, a thread has started that has Bill posting a bunch of very sad but interesting shots of the carnage that was wrought on the Air Force inventory after WWII. I've seen shots of the amazing amount of airplanes that were scrapped but nothing like what Bill is posting right now. http://www.aafo.com/hangartalk/forum...?s=&forumid=12 Is Bill's section but the threads are labeld scrap and something about Chino, should not be hard to find. If only someone could have known how much these airplanes would have meant to today's world. Obviously, all could not have been saved but it would have been wonderful if more could have been kept from the "beer can" graveyard! Wayne Sagar All Aviation FlightLine OnLine http://www.aafo.com/ |
