The largest community of FU series users is located on AVSIM. You can access
the FU forum he http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?...pics&forum=130 And there you will find info on availability of all of the FU series. -- Best Regards, Tom Allensworth www.avsim.com Join Us In Denver for the 2004 Conference and Exhibition! http://www.avsim.com/pages/2004conf/ "Glenn Jacobs" wrote in message .. . Does anyone know if Flight Unlimited 3 is available any where and if it will run on Windows XL? Thank you. Jake You decided to go for FU3 rather than FU2 then? (your earlier thread). I have both FU1 and FU2, but as I said earlier I can't get either to run on XL. I do have a machine that my wife uses currently which has 98 on it and which she won't be using begining soon. So I will put the FU1&2 on it and if I can get FU3 at a reasonable price will put it on my XL machine. Everyone knows that a man can't have too many toys and I have also decided to forgo buying another real airplane and will probably buy a condo in Spain or Mexico. The kind of flying I used to do is probably better done a simulator at my age anyway. As I said before Flight Unlimited 1 did the best job of any PC based simulator for acrobatics that I have tried. If there is a better one I would like to try it. FU2 wasn't quite as good as one, but you could practice your formation flying with the airliners. I don't know much about FU3 as far as flying realism, however. I hope one day another company will take over the FU software and come out with some new ones or someone else will come up with a realistic simulator. The processing power is available in todays PCs, I just wonder if there are enough people out there whot like to do the kind of flying that I do to make it commercially worth while. At one time I got so unhappy with the way that the simulators flew that i designed my own, at least the aerodynamics part, but never got beyond that. JakeInHartsel |
