Well, my airplane got a quick annual this year.
I brought N56713 to the aeroclub hangar Friday at ~5pm after flying it around the pattern to get it warm. One A&P and I worked on it until 10pm. Saturday, I worked with the A&P and IA from 8am until 5:30pm to finish it up. Only problems were adding fluid to the struts, repair of the trim indicator (I have no idea when that broke), and replacement of the shroud for carb heat. Annual inspection and repairs cost me 16 hours for the A&P and IA and ~15 hours of my time. Plus the cost of the oil, oil filter, air filter, and, of course, the shroud. Can you believe that a new shroud costs over $800? For me, this wasn't the least expensive annual inspection and repair, but definitely the quickest in calander time. The airplane was in the hangar less than 24 hours. -- Bob Noel looking for a sig the lawyers will like |
