Greetings!
This is to inform you that the US is officially hosting a junior contest July 24-28, 2006 and you are invited. It will be hosted by the Uvalde Soaring Association at one of the best soaring spots in the world. You wont be disappointed whether you're blasting along at Mach 1 on the "Holighaus Strasse" or going on "Turnpoint Parties" at night. Our competition director is Bill Bartell, former US team pilot, and Uvalde resident. Our contest manager is Kerry Huffstutler,of contest managing fame and also a Uvalde native. The US Junior Soaring Association has a preliminary website (www.juniorsoaring.us/juniorcup) set up to post information as it comes available.I look forward to seeing all you juniors on the grid next year! For now feel free to contact me for any information. Michael Westbrook 1635 East Pleasant Dr Midlothian, TX 76065 United States (469)658-5264 (As a teaser, in 2001 the average winning speed at Uvalde was 92 mph, with the average task length being 500km for the nine day contest. http://ssa.org/ContestResultsDetail.asp?id=100) |
