I also used it as a mountain plane to fly to Mammoth and Bishop to go rock climbing in the eastern Sierras. I'm selling the plane because I've relocated and no longer have an excuse to commute by plane. The plane is now located in San Luis Obispo, CA (SBP). 9141W has been meticulously maintained by Davis Air Repair (I understand that they are known as the people to go to for Cherokee speed mods, among other things). The plane was entensively rebuilt when purchased in 1999 and has been extremely reliable since then. When purchased, there was some cracking on one of the exhaust ports of the cylinders, so the former owner and I split the cost of new Milenium cylinders. The engine should run well beyond TBO if desired. The panel has been entirely rebuilt to the standard "T" configuration for IFR flight. |
