Give the EAA Housing number a call next year....there are some good deals
in private homes.

Also, there were several vendors and non profits that I know of (one I can
remember is Aviation
Tomorrow, Jim Dunn's electric plane) that were looking for roomates to fill up
their private houses
even days before the show.

If you have never been to Osh, the Klyde Morris cartoon basically spells it out,
where Klyde
describes all his horrible experiences to his FO, who commiserates, and then
Klyde says, "but I also
got to meet Scott Crossfield," whereupon the FO says, "Next year I'm going with
you!"

Wes (the cartoonist who draws Klyde) had an awful show, and lost his shirt
($1200 to EAA for a
booth among Ginsu-knife and Ronco slicer hucksters vs. a couple hundred in
sales) but my bet is
that he will be back (although he is not likely to give the EAA over a thou for
a booth in Junk Scam
Land. EAA has ruled that Klyde books and stuff are "non-aviation-related" so
he's banished from
the pavilions).
