Couple wins lawsuit against the city over airport noise
Deanne Simmons and her husband were awarded $5,000 to put new windows
in their home after suing over airport noise.
ABC13 Eyewitness News
(8/25/05 - HOUSTON) - A north Harris County family took the city of
Houston to court and won.

Steve and Deanne Simmons were awarded $5,000 to put new windows in
their home. The Simmons took the city to court over noise at Bush
Intercontinental Airport. They say they're going to use the cash to
keep the noise out.

"I was born and raised here. I'm not trying to hurt this city or
anything like that. I don't want the city to go broke. I mean, I live
here, but this is unbearable," said homeowner Deanne Simmons.
