I remember a ride on a very small plane with America West a couple
summers ago. It was small enough that I couldn't stand up and had to "walk" with my hands on the back of the seats. As I recall there were 9 seats (but it was a jet). I got to know the pilot real well because we turned back twice because of a maintenance issue (apparently there is a stick shaker warning light). Checked into my hotel in Dallas at 5am in time to get 1 hour sleep before my meeting. On the first two take offs I fell asleep right away. After waking up back in Pheonix twice I decided to stay away the next time. All this to save my company $1,000 on a direct flight from Sacramento to Dallas (the savings cost me that layover in Pheonix). -Robert |
