Default Training Day before SSA Convention

Hi,

The SSA has asked me to organize "Soaring Products Training" the day before
the start of the SSA Convention in Texas. Last year it was called the
"Software Academy" and was a great success. WinPilot, SeeYou, StrePla and
Glide Navigator II held training sessions on their products. More than 200
people attended some of the sessions (I don't have exact numbers).

This year we have from 8 AM to 8 PM for training classes on Wednesday,
February 1st. I think it makes sense to open it up to training on more than
software. Below is my first shot at a list of possible training sessions.
I think sessions need to be 1 hour (50 minutes + transition) to be useful
for training purposes. Please post suggestions for products or software
packages to add to the list and we can do an informal vote to see which ones
will get the limited number of time slots. We have 12 time slots. The
training sessions will be free of charge.

Key things to consider when suggesting new items for the list or voting for
classed you would attend.
- The product must be widely used in the USA
- The product must lend itself to training (no need to train on a Winter or
Sage Vario)
- There is not enough time to include every product and vendor

Potential Training Sessions (quick first effort off the top of my head)
- Borgelt B400 and B500 - by Paul Remde and/or???
- Cambridge 302, 302A and 303 - by Paul Remde, and/or ????
- flyWithCE Navigator - by ????
- Glide Navigator II - by Paul Remde & Chip Garner
- ILEC SN-10 - David Nadler?
- LX Navigation Colibri - Ed Hollestelle and Paul Remde and/or ????
- LX Navigation LX7007 Pro IGC - Ed Hollestelle and Paul Remde and/or ????
- SeeYou & SeeYou Mobile - Roy McMaster and Team SeeYou
- StrePla & pocket*StrePla - Team StrePla?
- Soaring Pilot - Mark Hawkins
- WinPilot - Richard Pfiffner and Jerry Plaszowiecki?

Obviously it wouldn't be fair for me to do training on all the products so
I'm open to suggestions for who is best qualified to do the training. I'm
glad to do as many as people want me to do. I'm very capable of doing
training on most of them but probably not the best option for WinPilot,
Soaring Pilot, and flyWithCE Navigator.

Time slots will be determined by a pulling names out of a hat.

I look forward to your feedback. If you want to vote, just put an X to the
left of the product in the list.

Good Soaring,

Paul Remde
