(Single button activated autopilot to the nearest suitable airport / emergency communication with ATC / autoland isn't available yet.) I don't feel that it's a good cost vs. benefit measure if safety is the only concern. For the sport pilot, just spending the same amount on recurring training would likely yield better accident and survival stats. moo |
