Hello all. I've mentioned my flying club a number of times, and...
A limited number of memberships are available in The Paramus Flying Club, which has been providing affordable flying in Northern NJ since 1955. Today, the club spans two airports and flies four aircraft: two 180HP Cessna 172s, a Cessna 182, and a Cessna 182RG. All four are equiped with a Garmin 430, Strikefinder, Standby Vacuum, and more. Bookings are controlled through either our web-based scheduler or a push-button phone. Two aircraft are based each at Caldwell and Linden airports, making flying convenient for members in New York City, Northern, and Central New Jersey. Our low monthly and hourly rates are reviewed periodically to provide the absolute minimum cost while bringing in enough to meet ongoing maintenance needs and reserves. Members make an equity payment upon joining. Our 45 members are also owners, and this payment truly is equity: it is refunded when a member leaves. In addition to keeping rates low, we also have no daily minimum. Members like to travel, and the club's rules support this. The club also encourages ongoing training and the achievement of further ratings. Several of our members are CFIs. Membership also provides numerous social opportunities, from monthly meetings to our monthly "breakfast flights". Members are further encouraged to become involved where their interests take them, from maintenance to financial to the management of the club. The club represents an opportunity to learn more about owning and flying one's own aircraft than is possible at an FBO or even many other clubs. Interested parties may learn more about us at our website: http://flyingclub.org or contact our membership coordinator, Mark Sargent, at or 212-526-1992 (work). You may also contact Eduardo Penalver at or 917-673-3756. |
