There was a report on a broadcast national news network recently to the
effect that two German nationals, brother and sister, have come forth to identify themselves as illegitimate progeny of Charles Lindbergh. Allegedly, they were fathered by the presumably happily-married Lindbergh during the 1950's, while he occasionally visited Germany. They say they waited before making their announcement until an appropriate period had passed following their mother's death. The pair produced letters they maintain were written to them by "Lucky Lindy" and also showed pix of their family members with Mr Lindbergh. Ostensibly, the letters have been subjected to comparison and the indications are that the letters were indeed written by Mr Lindbergh. The account did not deal with whether Mrs Lindbergh or any of the legitimate Lindbergh issue had been aware of the situation. |
