Back in the '80s the French tested the concept of armed UltraLights
for possible military applications and use by terrorists. To do this they aquired four Zenith Baroudeur ULs and armed them with 89mm rockets, testing them over water in 1984. The results were positive that ULs can be used in both roles. I wonder why the terrorists of today have never tried this approach, especially after 9/11. ULs can be bought privately and armed conversions can't be that difficult especially if unguided rockets are used. I also wonder if an open two passenger UL could have the passenger fire a guided missile with any kind of accuracy.
