Default Where are all these woman?

Lou wrote:
Every time I read the completion bits in Sport Aviation and
Kitplanes,
everyone keeps thanking their wives for support, patience and
help. Mine keeps asking why I'm wasting my time and looks for other
things for me to do. My wife complains about a plane sitting on my
half of the garage instead
of my car although it takes up less room than the car.
Every builder I've met is either divorced or on the verge of
divorce. One
builder I met almost brags that he has built 3 planes and has had 3
divorces.
I've already decided that when I finish my plane, that I will thank my
wife
for making me want to be anywhere but in the same room with her, so I
used
the time to build a plane.
So, where are all these wonderful woman I only read about? Are
they
fictitious? Are the husbands being nice because they know that their
wives
are going to read the blurb under the picture? Or did these wives
really drive
a few rivets, glue some wood, or sand the fiberglass. My guess it that
they are
really out shopping, for a lawyer.

My wife used to complain a LOT about me not doing stuff with her. I
started complaining about her not doing stuff with me. I started
BEGGING her to spend some time with me. "I'll watch TV with you for an
hour, if you'll sand with me for thirty minutes. How about if I just
sit up a chair and you talk to me while I work on my airplane? I'll let
you listen you your music station on the radio. Well, can you at least
open the door and smile at me occasionally?" Then I would be sulky when
she wanted me to do something. "Why should I do what you want, when you
ignore me all the time. You only want me around when YOU want something."

It wasn't that hard at all to get her to happily send me off to my
workshop by myself. (She wants to call it a garage, but I refuse to let
here get away with it. We don't have a garage. It's a workshop with a
large door.) Just don't be sarcastic. I really would have enjoyed a
work partner. Some people just don't realize how selfish they are until
they're forced to look in a mirror.
