I liked that it had airspeed, heading altimeter, and attitude all in one unit, was compact, and could be had with a backup battery that allowed plenty of time to land if the ship's battery failed. I trained a friend for his Instrument Rating in a Van's RV-7A that was equipped with the D10 and found it perfectly sufficient for instrument flying.
