Steve: I flew a Discus A for 4 or 5 seasons...several hundred
hours....many 4+ hr. flights in big crowded contests and one 1000K flight of ~10 hrs. Then I was 6'-1/2". 175 lbs, average build. I used a Softie 'Chute with one inch of Temper-Foam on seat pan for cushion. Tight fit but comfortable and no problems. Rear vision okay, no lack of visibility in crowded gaggles. The very best advise is to sit in one with the right 'chute and cushion and see how you fit with the canopy closed. Good luck, Ed Byars |
